If you are thinking about it in terms of price-to-value ratio, then a high-end Windows laptop would give you more specifications and features, but only if ‘more specs & features’ is the value you’re looking for.
The meaning of value differs for each individual. For example, for me, a 1.35 lakh MacBook with fewer specs than a Windows laptop at the same price is more valuable because the experience that MacBook gives is much better for the work I do. For a person who is into hacking or DIY projects, they might not value the MacBook as much.
So think about it in those terms. For the work that you do and the things you care about, would a high-end Chromebook improve your experience? A high-end Chromebook might be a bit smoother to use, have a better display, and could be faster than a Windows laptop at the same price because of the lightweight nature of the OS. These qualities are already true for a MacBook, meaning you can already experience them when using it. But if you’re someone who looks for something different or wants to try something new, then a Chromebook might be good for you.
A premium-feeling, better-looking, and different device might be something that you’d want to cherish, I know I would. So it really depends on what you value and what you’re looking for.
